The Children's Museum of Memphis

Once a week ( at least) I try to get my grandson from pre-k so we can spend the whole day playing!! A few weeks ago, my sister and I took Easton to the Children's Museum of Memphis!! We had so much fun! We flew a plane, went fishing, danced, played with trains, stacked building blocks in a school bus, went grocery shopping and even "drove" a fire truck!! I will never forget the days and memories!!! I am so grateful to be able to spend as much time with him as I do!! 

 On my layout, I used the new Basic Grey line ("Hey Boy" stickers, chipboard stickers, 6 x 6 paper pad, and tape strips), Bazzill cardstock (Pinecone), Hemptique black hemp, Colorbox ink (chestnut roan), and Chictags (Everyday journaling tags).  I'm always on the lookout for great boy stuff, since I only had two daughters... I missed out on all the adorable boy lines!!!

 I also used my Silhouette Cameo for the title... have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cameo?? I use it all the time for everything!!

Celebrate Cupcake Card

I am so in love with Tim Holtz's new blue print stamps!! (Stamper's Anonymous) I can see me making many many cards, tags, and layouts with these!! Here's a tag I recently made for a friend's birthday!

I started off stamping the cupcake stamp directly onto the tag, then stamping it a second time on white cardstock (Bazzill Coconut Swirl).  The entire tag was then sprayed with October Afternoon's sprinklers ("All Aboard" from the Boarding Pass Collection).  While that was drying, I colored with Copic markers (RV13, RV21, RV10, YG13, and G14).  After cutting this out, I adhered over the stamped image with pop dots.  I stamped "Celebrate..." (Technique Tuesday) on Coconut Swirl, cut to look like a banner and adhered also with pop dots.  I added Tim Holtz's Antique Linen Distressed Stickles to the candle.  Flowers and leaves (misc) were added to the bottom of the tag and a few at the top. I added a small clear embellishment to the center of one flower (Webster's Pages). The edges were inked with Colorbox Chestnut Roan.  To finish this off, I tied ribbon to the top (American Crafts) and added a stick pin (Maya Road).

This paper line is from Kaiser Kraft!! Its so pretty!! I have used this on many cards and layouts!! I also used my absolute new favorite tool, my large banner punch from EK!! Can one over use a banner punch?? I think not!!

For the flower, I used a 2" Gluber (if you have never heard of this.. it's an adhesive covered circle, perfect for making flowers, rosettes  etc.) and tissue paper! I cut one strip 1 1/2" x 12 and another 1" x 12".... then beginning in the outside of the Gluber, using the largest strip, wrinkle ends and adhere, moving in a circle around the outside until ends meet.  You may have to trim ends if necessary.  Then repeat with the smaller strip in the center of the Gluber.  Then I added a button and baker's twine to the center.

I just this layout! I entered a sketch layout in Paper Crafts Magazine and this is one of the cards I submitted!! I may have to use this one again!! Love the simplicity of it!!

One of my favorite lines... Echo Park!! Here I used The "All About A Boy" line!! When I saw this picture of Easton taken Easter day, I knew it was the perfect picture for this line!! I love his dirty face!!!! 

I just love the new Bo Bunny "She's My Sister" line!! Here, I wanted to show off my daughter's belly and the colors really went with the shirt she was wearing plus it is so girly and feminine!! I just love the colors together as well as the flower and butterfly accents! 

Okay, here's one more of the index trays!! I did this when Easton was only one month old!! Here, I used the October Afternoon and Teresa Collins papers and Jenni Bowlin bingo cards, butterfly, and tickets along with Prima flower and embellishments! I also used American Crafts "brown sugar" lace ribbon and Tim Holtz grunge flourishes! I inked everything with Colorbox's Chestnut Roan (My absolute favorite!!)
